Light-bodied in character with lively aromas of orchard fruit, white peach, lime and grapefruit with a crushed rocky minerality and saltiness with a slight almond bitterness on the finish.
Fermented without the use of commercial yeasts in stainless steel tanks with a short period of lees contact to increase mid-palate texture. The wine ages in steel tanks for 8-12 months before being bottled without fining or filtration.
The Bagella’s farm roughly 12.5 acres in Sorso on land that overlooks the sea. Their vines are on average 80-90 years old. Mario oversaw the recent conversion from conventional farming to organic. The soils are comprised of sand and clay.
