A beautifully light Vouvray that doesn’t sacrifice on depth. Honey, lemon and butter on the nose, with an almost tropical finish and a delightfully salty edge. A touch of residual sugar gives this wine incredible depth and character, without straying into sweet wine territory. Tropical and balanced.
Alexandre crafts all the wines in a small triglidyte cellar in Noizay.
Farmed organic. Alexandre Giquel’s domaine is just a little over 3 hectares, all organic and bio certified. These fall within two parcels in Vouvray, Clos Chapon (usually goes in “Gallus”) and “Montcontour” around the castle of the same name. Alexandre works everything with horses, no tractors in his vineyards.
