Lighter than Barolo, but equally delicate, elegant and suitable for aging. Dry and dense, with red fruit berry flavors.

Hand-harvested and crushed with a soft destemming, fermentation with little extraction takes place through maceration for about 10-12 days with 2-3 daily pumpovers. Aged in steel and, once bottled, rests in the bottle for at least 6 months before release.

Farmed sustainably in limestone soils on southwest exposure. Vines were planted in 1980. Now in its third generation, the Francesco Borgogno winery is located at the intersection of the historic Cannubi and Brunate hills, emblematic places for the production of Barolo DOCG. The wines are vinified according to tradition.
