An earthy, slightly meaty and floral blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris with an aged, faded fruit quality.

Alcohol: 13%
This wine is moving toward orange in the same way that a very old Barolo does. The additional time in wood has amplified the notes of tea, truffle, flower and meat, diminished fruit and refined all the wine’s textural elements.
The two grapes are always picked together, sealed in a wooden tank, and fermented untouched, before going to press. The combination of white and red grapes and this very gentle style of fermentation produces the most delicate red wine from the farm. This is the first long elevage version of Halo that has been released. The additional time in wood further blurs the line between red and white wine.
Halo is a parcel on the hill directly above the Tavern planted to equal parts Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The bottom of these rows is Aura, and these wines can be seen as inverted versions of one another.
