Clear aromas of black cherry and underbrush arrive on the nose, then give way to bewitching notes of coffee and white pepper on the finish.
Hand-harvested, and underwent spontaneous fermentation outside. Spent 15 months in French Allier and 6 months in bottle.
Vines are Certified Organic. Alessandro uses a Guyot training method as he believes it makes a more elegant and expressive wine from the Prugnolo Gentile varietal of Sangiovese. The property lies at 300 meters above sea level and is composed of Pliocene sand and fossil based soils.
