Medium-bodied with medium tannins, dark red and black fruit, dark chocolate, slight hints of green pepper. Very aromatic and full of flavor.
This wine was sourced from three different Santa Ynez Valley sites which were fermented and aged separately. Each fermentation included a small portion of whole bunches and were gently handled during the fermentation process. Aging was done exclusively in neutral oak for 12 months. Both primary and malolactic fermentations started spontaneously. During the spring the wine was gently racked and blended. It then went back to barrel where it rested until bottling without fining or filtration.
Sourced from Starlane, Brick Barn, & Rock Hollow Vineyards in Santa Barbara County, CA.
