Varieties: Cinsault, Carignane, Zinfandel
Location: Lodi, CA
Alcohol: 12.6%
Velvety in texture, it unfurls delectable layers of lively black cherry, tea leaf, and orange peel.
This cuvée is an equal blend of three varieties and three vineyards: Cinsault from Bechthold Vineyard (planted in 1886), Carignane from Spenker Ranch (ca. 1900), and Zinfandel from Kirschenmann Vineyard (1915), the winery’s home ranch in Victor. The soils are all the sandy, granitic loam that many of these old vines find their rooting in, lending depth and texture to the pure, deep fruit. Fruit was organically grown.
