A lean and masculine wine, perfumed with cedar, rose petals and graphite. Medium tannins with chalky minerality through to the end.

Variety: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Vineyard: Red Willow Vineyard
Location: Yakima Valley, WA
Alcohol: 13.2%
Production: 216 cases

Rich and flat late summer red fruit on the nose, vibrantly perfumed of rose petals and soft vine wood. Lean and masculine in texture, relatively svelte in fruit, this wine captures the rusticity of old world Cabernet. Cigar box, graphite, cedar, dusty and fine in texture with pronounced medium gripped tannins. Sweet rose petal envelope a linear backbone of chalky minerality that fades in the finish where structure and tannin persist.

De-stemmed, lightly crushed berries, 1-yr in neutral oak, 3-yrs in bottle.

Red Willow Vineyard is the oldest in the state of Washington and the most western in the Yakima Valley. Established in 1971 and lives in what is known as the tail end of the Sonoran Desert. The Cabernet Sauvignon was planted in 2012 at 1100-1300ft elevation. Soils are classified as a Warden sandy loam.
