A fresh and light-bodied Pinot Noir, finely chalky with complexity and spiciness. Stone minerality and bright red fruits with dried herbs abound.

Alcohol: 12.8%
Production: 2,304 cases
Stone and gravel dust give way to raspberry and cranberry on the nose, plus accents of dried herbs and Earl Grey tea leaves. The light-bodied palate is finely chalky and super fresh, with notable concentration, complexity and spiciness, and it has a long, ethereal finish.
Picked in 6 separate lots over 10 days. The grapes were fermented with native yeast and 40% whole cluster in open top fermenters. The wine aged for 10 months in old French oak barrels and was bottled with minimal sulfur and without filtration.
This wine is a blend of two Santa Maria Vineyards. The younger plantings are from Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard and the old vine plantings are from Rancho Vinedo Vineyard, planted in 1973. Both of these vineyards are farmed using organic farming practices.
