This dry, fresh blend is brimming with aromatic strawberry, crunchy cherry, and cranberry tartness. Delicate aromatics and fresh acidity balance out powerful flavors. Incredibly drinkable and refreshing, made for food and conversation.
Fermented with native yeasts at cool temperatures in stainless steel then aged in neutral barrels for five months with only minimal sulfur added at bottling. Unfiltered/unfined.
All fruit was farmed using only organic methods. A mix of Barbera, Aglianico and Montepulciano from two sites, both with weathered, pink gravelly allucium, very low fertility soils. The bulk of the Barbera comes from the Muller Vineyard while the rest of the varieties come from the Windmill Vineyard, (the Windmill is now certified organic CCOF). The vineyards are located outside of Woodland (Yolo County; Dunnigan Hills AVA). They are of moderate elevation and it gets quite warm during the day.
