This Albariño is golden in color, with alpine floral notes and mango, honey and fresh pastries on the palate.
Variety: Albariño
Location: Columbia Gorge, OR
Alcohol: 13%
Golden in color with flavors of honey and alpine flowers, mango and fresh pasteries. This wine always tastes more like dry GG Riesling than Albariño and this vintage takes the feeling to baroque heights held in only by the wines ultimately Alpine identity.
Grapes were macerated in upright wood vats for 9 days and just as the fermentation was ready to take-off it was pressed into a large wooden upright for the main part of the fermentation. Wine was pressed into barrel where it continued to ferment for another 6 months.
This is Albariño planted in the rainforest in the coldest part of the Gorge. It’s always the last parcel to ripen and the one that benefited most from the absurdly long and glorious summer of 2022.
