These young vines are harvested and vinified in stainless steel before being de-alcoholized through a gentle process of vacuum distillation. The vacuum allows alcohol evaporation at lower temperatures thereby preserving the aromas and flavors present in the wine.
Johannes Leitz comes from a long line of winemakers. His family's estate has been in the Rhinegau since 1744. Organically farmed on high hills in the village of Rudesheim, his south facing slopes yield ripe berries with full flavors and aromas.
